H e y L a d i e s !

Did you wake up today feeling sorry for yourself? Did you wake up today hating yourself? Did you wake up today planning to harm yourself? Did you wake up today already trying to figure out how you were going to be covering the areas you are insecure about? Have you been going through a dark time in your life when it comes to feeling beautiful and good about yourself inside and outside? Do you think you're ugly? Do you think you're just o.k.? Do you feel like boys don't give you attention? Do you feel like you need to fish for that attention in ways that don't feel genuinely comfortable? Do you put on a mask each day? Are you afraid people will judge you? Are you afraid people will label you as ugly?

SWEETIE you are beautiful. Don't feel sorry for yourself, don't hate yourself, don't harm yourself, don't cover your insecurities, don't tell yourself you're ugly..You are not ugly! You are not even "just o.k." !! You are a gift to this world. You are a miracle. A unique individual. God's masterpiece. Embrace the things that make you feel insecure. It might take time, but honey it's worth it in the end. Try to see yourself the way God sees you. His word is full of beautiful things to say about you. And his word is true. That is all that should matter. This world is a cold and cruel place for you if you don't have His word to hold on to. It just is. Because of sin there is hate, there is insecurity, there is self- harm, there are all kinds of awful things we struggle with, but because there is God, there is love, there is beauty and there is a weapon against all sin. And that weapon is the word of God.

I used to be super insecure, I still don't see myself 100% like God sees me, I'll most likely never see myself exactly like God sees me, but my goal is to get as close to that as possible. The more I've read His word, the more I've learned to accept myself and love things about myself I haven't been able to love before. He speaks so beautifully of us in His word. The Bible is full of lovely things he says about us and inspiring true stories of many amazing women I want to be like. For instance the story of Abigail:

"In Maon, there was a very wealthy man called Nabal. Nabal owned 1000 sheep and 1000 goats. Nabal kept his 1000 sheep and 1000 goats at Carmel.
Nabal was a very rough and mean man; but Nabal’s wife, Abigail was a very pretty and wise woman.
One day, Nabal’s servants were sheering wool from their sheep at Carmel.
David heard about it and he sent 10 men to Nabal, saying, “I hope everything is well with you and your family. When your shepherds are at Carmel tending the sheep, we didn’t hurt them or steal anything from them. You can ask your shepherds, and they’ll tell you the same thing. Today is a day of celebration; please share with us some of the food you’ve cooked.”
David’s men went to Nabal and gave him the message but Nabal replied, “Who does David think he is? David is just a slave who listens to his master. What makes you think that I will share my food and water with you? I also don’t know whether you are really sent by David!”
David’s men returned to David and told David what Nabal had said.
David’s anger was aroused and he said to his men, “Everybody strapped on your sword!” Four hundred men strapped their swords; but two hundred men stayed behind to guard the camp.
While David and his men were on their way to destroy Nabal and his household, one of Nabal’s servants said to Abigail, “David and his men are very good to us.
They never hurt us or steal anything from us. They are always nearby when we are tending the sheep and goats. With them around, we are as safe as we are inside a walled city.
Please come up with an idea to help us because David and his men are on his way to kill his family and everyone who works for him.”
Abigail quickly loaded 200 loaves of bread, 2 large jar of wine, meat of 5 sheep, 1 big sack of roasted grain, 100 handfuls of raisins, and 200 handfuls of figs on the donkey.
Then she rode her donkey. Abigail didn’t inform Nabal that she took food for David.
On the way, Abigail met with David and his men and she bowed down to David.
Abigail said to David, “Please let me explain! Don’t pay attention to what Nabal, the fool said to you.
Please accept these gifts of food that I have brought to you.
God had kept you from doing evil things and killing innocent people.I pray that you will not commit evil crime for as long as you live.
I pray that anyone who tries to harm you will end up like Nabal. God will always protect you because you fight for him.”
David accepted the gifts of food from Abigail. David said to Abigail, “You can go home now. I will not harm Nabal and his household.”
Abigail returned to her home. When she arrives home, she found Nabal was celebrating with his servants in a party fit for a king.
Nabal was very drunk so Abigail didn’t tell Nabal about it until the next morning.
The next morning, Nabal was sober and Abigail told him everything that had happened yesterday.
Nabal was a very stingy person. He couldn’t take it and he have a heart attack. After 10 days, Nabal died.
When David heard that Nabal is dead, he praised God because He had kept him from taking revenge on Nabal and his household.
Then David sent messengers to Abigail to ask her to be his wife.
Abigail quickly saddled her donkey and went to meet David. David and Abigail were married as soon as Abigail arrived.

(1. Samuel: 25)
Abigail was wise, courageous, prophetic, she was a woman of integrity, she was faithful and I'd like to think she was very beautiful as well. But heeeey, of course she was beautiful!!! Because that's how God sees it. And what God sees, speaks and thinks is true.
The word beautiful, for me at least does not just mean the way you look on the outside. I think different characteristics make people beautiful. More than once a person I haven't thought of as much by the way they've looked on the outside (Yes, I judge people too, unfortunately. We all do.) has surprised me with the biggest heart on earth, or the most amazing imagination, or the beautiful way she speaks, or the amount of faith she has, or with how courageous she is, or with how talented she is...And by seeing these things in that person, she/(he) becomes super beautiful in my eyes and I have to tell her what I think of her, just so that I can share with her thoughts God would like to share with her as well.

(We may not be called to risk our lives, but we too can be bold and courageous. We can speak out against injustice and intercede for the oppressed (Isaiah 1:17 – ESV). =Beautiful.

Yo ladies! When you start seeing yourself the way God sees you, you will blossom for sure. You already are a flower. A beautiful one. When you take care of the things you're holding inside and are healed through God's love and beautiful words, it will shine through. And that flower will open up even more, bit by bit, pedal by pedal, "bees"will come and they will need you and you will be able to give that "pollen" and through that cycle you will be doing so much good for this world. Okay that nature- like example is funny to read and it's a bit colorful, but my point here is that the more you invest in God, the more you'll learn to love Him, Yourself and everything around you. And because His word is planted inside of you, the seed will grow. The light will shine through. You will change lives with the way you treat yourself and others. The way Jesus would treat people. What Jesus would think of you.

I'm getting super excited here and I was actually not supposed to write a long novel like this, I first thought I'd only go on and on about how beautiful you are, but I think I still succeeded on doing that. Just added some more to all of this. I feel really beautiful today. I'm sitting on my bed with the laptop, no makeup on, bags under my eyes, in my pj's, yet still feeling super beautiful. It started off by feeling really beautiful inside after reading the Bible in the morning and going through verses about women and beauty and such...I prayed and God spoke really beautiful words to me. And because I felt really beautiful inside, it totally reflected on the outside and I just feel super good. I truly hope the same for you and that each and every one of us could feel like these each and every day of the year.
Plus, there will always be people in our lives that will show how much they care about us just by the fact that they are hanging out with us, talking with us, smiling at us, laughing with us, crying with us, dancing with us, praying with us and for us...just sharing life with us. We should feel special every day. And if we feel lonely, we just need to remember that that's a lie. For God is always with us. He is right here next to us. We just need to interact with him. It's not a one- sided deal. He has already showed us what he thinks about us, so we have all we need when it comes to that. When it comes to wanting attention and hearing people say nice comments about us. Yes it's nice to hear people tell you beautiful things about yourself, but in the end all we truly need is God and what he thinks of us.
I am totally starting to babble on and I kind of lost the red line here, but I just really hope you ladies understand that you are beautiful. Just take care of yourself with the right "help". Respect yourself. Love yourself. Accept yourself. God knew what he was doing when he created you:
13For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17How precious to me are your thoughts,a God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand—
when I awake, I am still with you.
(Psalm 139: 13-18)

Have a really special day! And all you men out there! You know what to do! Make the ladies feel special. Make them feel loved and just tell them they are truly beautiful. Because that's exactly what they are.

My Facebook status for today: "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue." † "Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." (Proverbs 31:25-26, 30 NIV)
"God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns." (Psalm 46:5)

"Behold, you are beautiful, my love, behold, you are beautiful! Your eyes are doves behind your veil. Your hair is like a flock of goats leaping down the slopes of Gilead." (Songs of Solomon 4:1
